Waiting for the mezzanine market

Commercial real estate investors and mortgage bankers have been predicting for a year that mezzanine loans would play a growing role in a market adjusting to lower real estate values and lower leverage from lenders. But those high-priced, short-term loans aren’t playing much of a role in the Twin Cities yet.
